This story was truly one of the best books I've read! LA Witt is a master of descriptions so intense, so poetic you will be transported. Like this: "Everything we'd done before was desperate, primal, even violent, but this was different. That was black, this was white. This was a sensual caress of what I'd thought was an unforgiving hand. I thought I loved the feel of his skin on my own but it was a muted brush of fingertips on denim ..." This is just a short set-up to the magic of the chemistry between the two main characters and I would love to include even more, but it gets a bit spicy after this...well, a lot spicy. This scene in particular was my favorite although the entire book is amazing, every sexual encounter vividly detailed and beautifully written, every emotion, every conflict, perfect. I do have to say though that the only part about this book that was less then satisfying was Jake. I disliked him a whole lot more then I felt he was punished. Not that that part of the story was skimmed over, it wasn't. Just my own need for sweet revenge. Definitely worth buying and worth your time to read!!Product details

Ninetenths of the Law edition by LA Witt Romance eBooks Reviews
Life is to short with far to many reading sources to read a book which just doesn't engage. I stopped at chapter 13 and found I didn't really care to know what happens next.
I have enjoyed other books by this author and hope future books remain above average as they have in the past.
Next....???
Okay, lets start with saying that this is not my normal sub-genre of erotica, but I was pleasantly surprised by it. While it does get rather graphic, the story is good, and the author does a good job with the progression of the story. It is a little short, and Nate is a little one-sided, but overall I thought it weas well written. I picked this up for free, which is the only reason that I got it, but it was worth the hour of so it took to read. Would recommend it to anyone intrigued by a gay erotica with an actual story and relationship.
Before I comment on this book I would also like to recomment Out of Focus which threw me for a loop. The initial photo session hit the reader like a 3D movie. This current novel (Law) has some heart breking moments such as the main character's realization that every night he spent with his lover had meant that his lover's long-time companion had waited alone and miserable for a guy who clearly wasn't worth it. The guilt that he feels for acts that weren't his fault is endearing. Just a couple of pretty decent guys who finally got together with the unwitting help of an irresponsible chronic cheater.
Had a great opening scene/premise and I was really interested to see what happened next, but I felt Witt kind of lost the way and even though it's a shorter novella, it got a bit bogged down in the middle.
Zack is the cinema owner (and frankly, didn't that sound boring, the way it was described!) and Nathan is the man who accuses him of sleeping with his lover. Then they both break up with the two timing Jake and start a relationship of their own. There is so much meat to explore here, trust and sex and possessiveness, but the actually story was kind of boring and I felt that tension was created artificially, which was completely unnecessary. So it was a great idea but inadequately explored. The sex scenes were okay, but didn't really do it for me either.

I've never read anything by L.A. Witt before, but after reading this wonderful story, I definitely plan on checking to see what else the author has written.
Full disclosure - I picked up this story because it was free, and it was a gay romance, which I've been reading a lot of lately. I'm so glad I did, because I got so caught up in Zach and Nathan's story that I read the entire thing in one sitting.
The plot is unusual in that our two main characters meet under horrible circumstances - they find out they have a mutual boyfriend whose been cheating on them both - and yet somehow they turn this horrific situation into something great.
Both Zach and Nathan are great characters. I love Zach's take-charge, business-first persona, and I loved Nathan's more submissive personality that was so wracked with hurt that he found it hard to trust anyone, including himself.
If you enjoy gay romances (and, yes, it's more along the lines of erotic romance), absolutely pick up this book, whether it's free when you check it out or not. It's a great read.
